Phone System Maintenance

We will be performing maintenance on our phone systems during the above window. This will not affect any customer services, and our phone systems should remain available during this time. If at any point you are disconnected while speaking with a member of our staff, our staff will call you back immediately.

Service Outage

2026-07-28 11:55 MST – 2026-07-28 12:50 MST

2026-07-28 11:55 – We are currently experiencing a unexpected failure that has left several web hosting services inaccessible. We are currently working diligently to resolve this issue. More information will be added to this notice as the situation progresses.

2026-07-28 12:05 – We have determined the cause of this error to be hardware related, and are working to resolve it now. As more information is made available this post will be updated.

2026-07-28 12:20 – We have resolved the initial hardware failure which caused this outage. We are currently working to ensure that everything has recovered, and we do not anticipate any further outages for recovered services.

2026-07-28 12:50 – We have confirmed that all services have returned to a working state following this outage. If you continue to see issues following this notice, please let us know via email.

Routine Database Maintenance

2026-07-24 11:30 MST – 2026-07-25 00:30 MST

We will be performing routine maintenance on several of our database servers during this window. This maintenance is necessary to ensure the stability and security of our database servers.

We do not expect that this maintenance will cause any service outages, however during this time affected customers may see a degradation in database performance. We have notified all customers with database services hosted on these servers.

2026-07-25 00:30 MST – This work has been completed.

Rolling Preventative Maintenance – Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday Nights May 8-24, 2018 11 PM – 2AM MT.

We will be performing preventative data centre maintenance on the above dates. If you have a dedicated server we have sent a direct notice of the date and time your service will be affected to your account contact.

If you have a shared service (web hosting, e-mail, etc), you may see a short disruption of services during one of these windows.

Mail Filter Upgrade (Canit Mail filters)

On Sunday at 08:00AM MST, we are going to upgrade Canit mail filters and it should take about 1 hour for this process to complete.
During this time, the email will not work, but as soon as the upgrade is completed the emails that were sent during this time should be delivered to your email accounts.

This upgrade should resolve a lot of issues that we were having lately with SPAM and mail delays.

Mail issue – Resolved

Update:  Alentus mail filters are now functional and emails are flowing at normal speed. Due to the recent issues we had we will need to update all mail filter servers so any future problems are avoided.  Mail filter update will take place at a time advised by our mail filter provider (Roaring Penguin). Alentus Customers will be notified in regard to this via https://alentusnews.com.

Mail Issue – Resolved

Alentus mail filters functionality has been fully restored. Emails have started flowing in and no further interceptions are expected. Emails that have been sent in earlier will reach destinations and mail queue will be cleared up some time during the day.

Update: Roaring penguin team is almost done with restoring mail filter functionality.

Mail should start flowing shortly after mail filter functionality restoration.

 

We are currently facing issues with out mail filters. Due to this issue Alentus mail servers are not able to accept any incoming emails.

We have already contacted Roaring Penguin (our mail filter provider) and they are working on having this issue resolved.
